Security & Reason Codes
The retail system’s functionality is controlled by various
security settings that can be configured directly from within Tradepoint
Enterprise. Control which clerks can access the system in design mode, who can
gain access to the retail manager tool, and who can manage inventory or
customers and more. Security can also be assigned to each button on the screen
ensuring that only those with proper security credentials can gain access to
specific functionality.
Additionally reason codes can be set up in the system to
force clerks to select reason for performing a specific few tasks such as
prompting for the reason for providing a customer discount on a sale or the
reason for voiding/cancelling a transaction. Reason history is stored in the
Tradepoint system history.
