Touch Screen Ready
Tradepoint POS provides the user with an easy to use and a
completely customizable touch screen interface. Each terminal can be assigned a
completely different look with full control on how each menu element functions.
Allowing users to create any number of screens (menus) and add buttons on them,
set their location, and control what each button does by adding different types
of button tasks. Embed a custom plug in into a menu, place a flash movie for
customers, and a lot more.
In short, with the same back end, each workstation can be
assigned a different menu-set (collection of menus). Configure a few
workstations as point of sale terminals, set up the manager’s system for quick
access to daily reports and other managerial functions, and create an
information kiosk on another system, all through the customizability and
extendibility of the retail system.
Moreover a touch-friendly on-screen keyboard is included in
the system to allow easy input where needed and for users who prefer the use of
a keyboard shortcut, one can easily setup shortcuts for different functionality
throughout the system.
Work Station Configuration
Each workstation has its own set of configurations and can be
configured different to one another. One terminal can be configured as a
full-screen donation kiosk allowing users to view basic information on a
touch-screen and make donations by scanning their credit card and keying in the
amount of donation while another can be configured as a point of sale terminal.
Workstations can be assigned a different payment gateway each, a different set
of security rules, printers, and more.
Customer & Inventory Management
Manage customers and inventory directly from the retail
system. Add new customers to the system or update an existing customer’s
information, create new products in the system or change price on a product from
the terminal… all of this using a touch-friendly wizard. The wizard can be
easily customized to include what fields can be updated/inserted by the clerk
and what information is automated. The system also provides a skin wizard to
control the look and feel of the touch-wizard.
Reporting
Integrated with Tradepoint Report Engine Lite, the retail
system provides all but report designer capabilities out of the box. Preview or
print reports from the terminal using a report viewer control or build your own
custom viewer. Tie each report to buttons on a menu and assign security to the
buttons to ensure that only with clearance can access specific reports. And
moreover use the scheduling capabilities of the retail system to automatically
print, export, or email reports after a specific interval.
Designers can use the full version of the Tradepoint Report
Engine to create new reports and then easily deliver to end-users who can import
it into the system using the report viewer’s import feature.
Tradepoint security rules apply to inventory and customer
management thus ensuring only clerks with proper access can perform either of
the tasks.
Tradepoint Code Engine
Tradepoint Code Engine (TCE) is a runtime scripting engine
that empowers the Tradepoint Retail System and brings a whole new meaning to
application customization. Macros (code) written in TCE act as plug-in to the
POS System and are executed upon button clicks as well as being event driven.
Providing support for C# and Visual Basic.Net with a complete form designer and
the ability to register 3rd party .Net assemblies to be consumed within macros,
Tradepoint Code Engine is a quick, simple, and powerful customization engine.
Users can create customized forms for data collection, perform transaction and
specific functions, show company websites directly in the POS system,
communicate with external databases or .Net applications, create and display
custom or 3rd party controls with menus, and much more.
