8.7 Using Color in the Elements of your Reports

Sep/1/2007

Changing the color of a header field or of a background in a field is done by following the steps outlined below. This is done on a field by field basis. The example below includes changing the color of the header fields in one of the report templates in Tradepoint.

From the customize screen, highlight the field you are looking to change or add a color to. The next step is to click on the light blue arrow in the Upper left hand corner which will open the menu you see in the second image below. Any field you highlight that has an existing color assigned to it will highlight in the opposite color on the color scale. This way you will know what field you have highlighted to edit.

The menu for changing the properties, including color of the highlighted field is in the control panel in the left side of the screen. The properties will show the current color of the font and the background.

Clicking on the right side of the back color field will open the color menu which will allow you to choose from three palates and gives you the ability to scroll down the palette to choose the desired color for your field.

The field just above that labeled Fore Color will enable you to change the color of your Fonts by opening the menu and choosing the desired color.

Changes that you make will be kept automatically.
