Welcome to v3 of Tradepoint

Version 3 of Tradepoint Enterprise has now been released and is the culmination of 18 months of development in partnership with our customers and partners. We are incredibly excited about all of the new functionality and simplification of the existing features that this version introduces. Below are the highlights:

  1. Customized LayoutCustom Layouts:

    In addition to our already extensive customization of grids, trees and other lists, we have now added the ability to completely customize the layout of every element of every screen. That means that the user can move, remove, change, resize, and even rename fields on almost all windows! Further these layouts can be saved and shared with others, and even be made the company default used by everyone. Full security rules are available as well.
  2. Custom FieldsCustom Fields on Every Screen:

    Along with custom layouts, the user can now also create custom fields for almost any window and integrate them directly into the screen layout as if they were native fields.
  3. Bill of MaterialsBill of Materials, Kitting, Gift Cards and more:

    We now fully support Bill of Materials (with templates) that have separate one line pricing for all materials and costing based on the components if desired; kitting and the ability to customize the kit if desired and gift card sales and usage. These functions integrate into the already successful assembly functions that allow custom manufacture of goods from raw materials.
  4. Stock AnalysisStock Analysis:

    We now have a fully integrated inventory analysis and reorder suggestion system built into the software using industry standard calculations to ensure minimum inventory overhead and maximum availability. This system fully supports the use of historical data, periods, seasonal changes, and projected usage to calculate, along with target and safety numbers, and supplier rules and volume discounts for optimum reordering at any given time. Further you can even override the default system and specify the number of days to reorder for, and it will automatically calculate the number needed based on supplier rules.
  5. Rolling Stock CountRolling Stock Count:

     Tradepoint now fully supports Roll Stock Counts/Takes without needing to pull inventory out of service. The User can select any range of product to count based on any criteria.
  6. Credit MemosStreamlined Credit Memos:

     Tradepoint takes exchange, return, refund functionality to the next level by integrating all of these functions with credit memos, allow for refund/returns to be processed without payments, replacing the old Invoice Adjustment system. Payments can be made to the customer via refunds to existing card transactions, check or "unlinked credit" for processing a refund to another card.
  7. Legacy URL SupportLegacy URL Support:

    One of the major concerns of companies moving from one ecommerce platform to another is their current SEO efforts. Tradepoint's Ecommerce system handles this quickly and easily by allowing the user to create a map from all of your old URLs to new ones and having the system do an automatic 301 redirect. This key feature will ensure that the search engines know a link has been changed so that they can update their index without penalty and to ensure that all of the old organic links continue to function.
  8. Multi-currencyFull Multi-currency support:

    We now support full multi-currency throughout the software. This means that the general ledger is stored in your native currency, but all transactions (Invoices, Bills, Payments, Credits, Purchase Orders etc.) can have their currency selected and will be processed and displayed to the end user in that currency. All currency exchange profit or loss is automatically accounted for in all cases.
  9. PCI 1.2 CompliantPCI 1.2 compliance:

    We fully support all of the new guidelines both online and in the software for PCI 1.2 compliance. As required by PCI, this  means that no card data is stored, only reference ids from the gateways. These reference ids allow us to complete, reverse and adjust transactions the same as if the card was on file without risking card data. All passwords and other private information are encrypted within the database and behind our security system that requires the user to login. The Administrator can control exactly what each user account can and cannot do allowing for a tailored security system for each company.
  10. Bill Pay WizardBill Pay Wizard:

     Pay all bills automatically through Tradepoint. Tradepoint will use payment terms, discount terms and amounts to automatically suggest payments to be made to optimize cash flow and minimize A/P.
  11. Drop ShipAuto Complete Drop Shipments:

    Tradepoint now allows for complete drop shipped items that create shipment history, update and complete purchase orders, sales orders and create invoices and bills as needed, automatically.
  12. AmazonEbayChannel AdvisorShop.comVolutionAmazon, shop.com, channel advisor and ebay integration:

    Tradepoint now integrates with Amazon, Channel Advisor, ebay, Volution and shop.com using the eShopCONNECT plugin by Lerryn Data Technology Ltd. This now allows for processing orders from these large product warehouses quickly and easily. Going forward look for support for overstock.com and others coming soon.
  13. MagentoMagento Support:

     Using the eShopCONNECT plugin by Lerryn Tradepoint now fully supports integrations with existing Magento websites. This allows customers that are comfortable with Magento to stay with Magento while utilizing the full capabilities of Tradepoint's ERP system.
  14. Payment GatewaysNew Payment Gateways:

     We have added many new payment gateways including Google Checkout and the newer Paypal gateway for Website Payments Pro in addition to the already existing support for Paypal previously offered. Others include: Yespay, Global Collect, Moneris, and eway. These gateways are supported on both external websites and within Tradepoint Enterprise so that transactions can be processed in both locations and even have a credit hold applied on the web, and completed within the software's order fulfillment process.
  15. Shipping ServicesNew Shipping Services:

     While our competitors were just introducing basic functionality to integrate shipping services, Tradepoint was extending its already existing and robust shipping system to support 3rd party billing, residential versus commercial addresses, Royal Mail, DHL Express, Purolator Courier, and Australia Post. Meanwhile we worked with our existing services for UPS, Fedex and Endicia (USPS) and made them both easier to enable and maintain and cheaper on a monthly basis! Tradepoint also integrates with most major scales to provide accurate box-inclusive weights to the shipping services.
  16. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)E-Commerce SEO Optimizations:

     Tradepoint has taken it's extensive Search Engine Optimization functionality to the next level allowing completely custom, keyword dense URLs for all products, categories, press releases, knowledge base articles and custom pages. All images get full keyword rich URLs with no publically facing pages that ever have a ? in them other than search! All pages as always have full Title, Meta Keyword and Meta Description for every page and all pages are designed using style sheets and header (h1, h2, etc.) by default following Google's SEO best practices.
  17. Full Content Management System

    : Tradepoint now support full creation and edition of any pages that you wish based on templates. This means that it is now possible to create any content and custom pages directly in the software without having to actually create the ASP.NET page. The result is easier updates with less involvement from your IT team, cutting costs and ensuring maximum flexibility when communicating with your customers.
  18. Bank ReconciliationAdvanced Bank Reconciliation:

     Save time with bank reconciliations by using our Open Financial Exchange (OFX, QFX) standardized bank statement import tool ensuring that the vast majority of banks and institutions' statement downloads can be quickly and easily imported into the system and reconciled with a touch of a button.
  19. Ledger-Style Inventory ManagementLedger-Style Inventory Management:

     Our inventory management system has been taken to the next level using a new general ledger style inventory management system allowing for full historical and immediate views of inventory and changes in inventory over time. In addition this new methodology ensures that no matter how big the receipt, ship, transfer or adjustment, all transactions happen instantly. No waiting for hours or days (like some of our competitors) to process a few thousand items of inventory!
  20. Decimal Places2 to 16 Decimal Places:

     In prior versions, Tradepoint would allow you to edit in 4 decimal places and would display in 2 decimal places. This caused some confusion due to rounding. Now Tradepoint allows you to specify the number of decimal places you wish to use. Not only will this display that number, but it also controls rounding. Furthermore, the system will also handle all rounding errors and store any rounding differences in an account in the general ledger, with items linked to the specific transaction.
  21. Exchange Server 2007, 2010 SupportExchange Server 2007 SP1+ Support:

    Tradepoint now can synchronize all appointments, tasks, contacts and emails with Microsoft Exchange Server using its native protocol. The result is incredible speed improvements and optimizations to the way data is shared. No more POP3 or IMAP support required!
  22. Contact MergeContact Merge:

    By popular demand we have created a tool that allows the user to merge duplicate accounts within your system including all accounting without violating GAAP rules.
  23. Point of SaleAuto-Updating and Error Reporting in Point of Sale (POS)

    : Tradepoint Point of Sale now integrates our proprietary auto-updating and error reporting services creating an ultra-stable, ultra-fast and ultra-scalable POS system. We now provide the maximum flexibility, and functionality, with all of the stability, speed and ease of maintenance that you've come to expect from Tradepoint.
  24. Numerous Functionality Enhancements:

    Item sales history quick links, inline spell checking on email and other documents, 5 categories in Products, drag and drop tasks into the schedule, Advanced Search for adding of products under quotes/orders/invoices, the list goes on! Over 200 functionality tweaks to speed up your daily tasks and to ensure that the information needed is at your finger tips quickly and easily. See our release notes for full details.

Just the Beginning

We are hard at work on V3.1 with even more excellent functionality and improvements as suggested by our customers and implemented in partnership with those that know how it works, instead of a programmer working from a spec sheet. All customers automatically receive these updates through our proprietary automatic update service when they are released.
