Creating or reproducing your General Ledger
Manually is done by entering each field and assigning the Account number and the
Type of Account it is within the Division's Chart of Accounts.
We recommend consulting with your Accounting professional
as to the actual structure of your General Ledger.
Follow this path to reach the screen where you will enter
in your company's General Ledger.
Tools Tab--->Company--->Divisions--->go to the
listed Division under the Contact information and double click that---->from
there click on the Chart of Accounts icon in the tool bar.
To Manually create your Chart of Accounts use the icons on
the lower right side of the screen.
For example, when you first start out you will notice that
only the New Root Account icon is live. This means you will need to create a New
root Account to get started. As you add child and sibling accounts to that root
account you will have all icons live depending on the type of account you are
creating.
You can tab through the fields as you create your Chart of
Accounts.
As you add child an sibling Accounts to a root account
they will default to that same Account type so you won't have to specify the
account type every time you create a new account.
