The Request for Quotation (RFQ) window allows you to record all of the details for a requested quote from a customer. An RFQ is not a formal quote, meaning that the customer does not have a specific product in mind, only a set of features that are required.

The top section of the window includes all of the details related to who has request the quote and who is handling it within your company. The center of the window contains the specific product requirements. Click the New button at the bottom of this section to add a new product entry, and then fill in the details, units and cost requests from the customer.

In the right hand panel you can set the important parameters relating to this RFQ such as the dates a RFQ is good for and any shipping requirement.
