Configuring DHLUS Shipping
Service
Settings:
Customer Account Number: The DHL account number.
Account Postal Code: The postal code that DHL has the account registered to. This
postal code must match the value that DHL has on record and is required to be
able to generate shipping keys.
Shipper Pays Duty: Indicates if the shipper pays any duty costs associated with the
shipment.
Use Testing Server: If checked any
rate requests or scheduled shipments will not be placed against DHL's
production server but against their test server.
Allow Service to
Schedule Shipments: If NOT checked the service will
only process rate requests, not schedule shipments using DHL's online
services. This may be a desirable option if a different method is used to
schedule that actual shipment.
ShipIt Domestic Shipping Key
and ShipIt International Shipping Key: A security key that
DHL requires for using their rate request and shipping features, see below for
more information.
Test Server Url and Production Server Url:
The web addresses used for processing rate request and
scheduling shipments - Read Only.
Shipping
Keys:
Shipping keys are required to use the DHL
services, the keys can be automatically populated using Tradepoint or if you
already have shipping keys that you have received from DHL you can save them
here. If the key value is missing when the DHL service is used, a request is
made to DHL for the required shipping key to be generated, and the value saved.
It is highly recommended that after generating a shipping key that you
synchronize Tradepoint to keep the shipping keys the same for all the computers
using Tradepoint.
