Requirements: The Royal Mail Despatch Express application correctly configured and active.

Configuration Settings

Drop Location Path:

The complete file path to the drop folder location. Can be either specified as a normal file based path (i.e. : C:\DropFolder\) or as a UNC path to the drop folder (i.e. \\{computername}\{sharename}). Must match configuration in Despatch Express for Direct Feed settings.

Data file name:

The file name and file extension only of the data file containing the shipment information (i.e. Data.txt). Must match configuration in Despatch Express for Direct Feed settings.

Lock file name:

The file name and file extension only of the lock file (i.e. Lock.txt). Must match configuration in Despatch Express for Direct Feed settings.

Result file name:

The file name and file extension only of the result file Despatch Express will produce (i.e. Result.txt). Must match configuration in Despatch Express for Direct Feed settings.

Request Timeout:

The duration in seconds Tradepoint will wait after creating the data and lock files in the drop folder for Despatch Express to process the data file, create the result file, and remove the lock file.

Blocking Files Wait Duration:

The duration in seconds Tradepoint will continue to check if either the data, lock, or result file already exists in the drop folder. If the time elapses the service will not try to proceed with the scheduling request and a notification will happen in the shipping wizard.

Allow Service to Schedule Shipments:

If checked the service will try to schedule the shipment with Despatch Express.

Delete Result file on Error and Continue:

If checked when an error occurs the error will be displayed to the user and the result file containing the reponse from Despatch Express will be deleted. If the file is not deleted no further shipments will be able to be processed until the file is removed manually.

Include Customer Account #:

If checked the Customer's Account # from Tradepoint will be included in the request to Despatch Express as the Customer ID.

Include Order #:

If checked the order number will be included as in the Sender's Reference field in the request to Despatch Express.

Saturday Delivery Guaranteed for Special Services:

If the selected service type for Royal Mail is a Special Delivery Service (i.e. one of the Special Delivery 9am or Special Delivery Next Day service types), if checked the request will indicate that Saturday delivery is to be guaranteed.

To specify that the label be printed to a different network printer by Despatch Express, open the Shipping Service Printing Settings window (Tools tab -> Terminal -> Shipping Printer Settings) after you have configured the Royal Mail shipping service. This setting should be left empty if you want Despatch Express to use the setting that is specified in its Printing Configuration settings.
Enter the Network Printer UNC address under the print setting for Royal Mail Despatch Express shipping service. This address will be included in the request to Despatch Express to specify the printer the application should direct the printing task to. This setting is not synchronized between Tradepoint installations.
