13.14 Managing Copy and Static Text
Apr/15/2007
Tradepoint contains
multiple tools for managing content. Content related to Products is handled
within each Product file and can be adjusted as your Products change specific to
each Product. The content relevant to each Product is handled through the icons
shown below within the Products section.
One benefit to
content management within Tradepoint is since Products Information tends to
change quicker than static text on a website this structure is designed to
accommodate the ability to make smaller changes regarding Product information
quickly without interfering with your websites content. The second benefit is
the ability to adjust and edit static web content within one section without
effecting Product listings. Together they provide a complete content management
tool for your website.

Managing static
text throughout your website is done through the Website section of the Tools
Tab.

The highlighted
Static text icon is where the remaining content of your website will be managed
from.
Clicking the Static
Text icon will open the window you see below. Each of your pages will be listed
on the left side of the window in an expandable format. Clicking on any of the
plus signs will open the pages within that Category.

Clicking on the
Source Tab at the bottom of the page will show the HTML code as you enter in
your content. Hyper links can be added by adding the correct HTML code on the
Source Page to provide a hyper link on your web page.
We do recommend adding the
content directly into the HTML Editor. Content can of course be added through
Cut and Paste or Copy and Pasting however, that may result in formatting issues
with your text. Editing tools for your content are found in the tool bar at the
top of the content window.
